Experts suggest that a bio should always be very professional and start with an introduction so here we go…..

Hi, I’m Sharon. I’m a registered marriage Celebrant in the business of making dreams come true.

 

Okay, now that the experts are happy, let’s loosen it up because I’m much more at home using my natural ability to help people feel comfortable and relaxed. That’s where I’m at my happiest. Sharon, Shazza, Mumma Shaz, Auntie Shazzie. I love all of the names that I’m known by because each one tells me a little something about the relationship that I have with that person, so you choose what you would like to call me, and let’s get to know each other a little better.

The journey to becoming your celebrant started at a time when I was looking for something to feel more fulfilled than my regular job. I had explored some options but nothing was feeling quite right, that is until some friends announced that they were getting married. They were pretty adamant that I was too old to be their flower girl so I jokingly said, “Well looks like I’ll just have to marry you then!”. We all agreed how great that would be and laughed as we played out the scenarios. Over the next few weeks, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that we’d actually hit on something. This was it; this was the “thing” I’d been looking for! Everything about being a celebrant felt like the perfect fit. Within a month I had started my course and have never looked back. 

 

It must be mentioned that I have an incredible support team in my family and friends and I will be forever grateful to Jodie and Steve for deciding to get married.

 

On a more personal note, my husband Mark and I were married on 13/03/1993 at 3:30 p.m. All of those 3’s were purely co-incidental but there must have been something in it because 2 amazing children and many years later (I’ll let you do the math), on the 13th of March every year we still celebrate with awe this life we have created together. To say I believe in the magic of love and the Universe would be an understatement.

 

Well, I’m not sure that the experts will 100% approve of my bio but hopefully, it’s given you enough insight to know if I will be the right celebrant for you and I look forward to getting to know you as we create some magic for your story.
